Sam Brookfield

Marketing and Communications Associate

Joining ITAC as an intern 2010, Sam quickly moved to full-time status as a Marketing and Communications Associate later that year. Sam helps to market ITAC's services and build awareness of the ITAC brand among New York City manufacturing and technology firms through a variety of communication channels such as ITAC's monthly eNewsletter, eBlast communications, social media, telemarketing, and print collateral, e.g., the 2009-2010 Biennial Report. Sam handles a portion of ITAC's new client intake and business development, and takes the lead in managing the ITAC website, newsletter follow-up, and incoming requests for information.

Electronic communications capture significant data, and Sam's attention to detail when tracking and analyzing data is valued by his colleagues. In addition to data management skills, Sam helps write many of ITAC's newsletter articles and is known for his flexibility and willingness to pitch in to get the job done. Tight production deadlines highlight Sam's logical thought process and sound decision-making skills.

Prior to joining ITAC, Sam worked in business-to-business sales for Verizon and Direct Energy in the Bronx and Westchester Counties. While at ITAC, Sam became a member of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership's (MEP) Buy America Supplier Scouting Community of Practice and also completed the Innovation Engineering Leadership Institute, an introduction to a system to help companies generate and commercialize unique, innovative ideas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Hamilton College. In his free time, Sam enjoys playing basketball, solving crossword puzzles, and cooking.
